Frank Brunet scrapbook, 1851-1867.

This collection consists of an American Civil War clippings scrapbook of Frank Brunet of Summit, Miss. It was created in the 1860s, using a bound ledger, possibly a family account book, upon which to mount the newspaper and other clippings. On eight of the pages, the clippings have become unmounted, revealing handwritten account notes dated 1851. Frank Brunet collected newspaper articles, numerous patriotic poems, and illustrations, mostly from the New Orleans daily crescent, and the Daily picayune. Photocopies of some of the scrapbook pages are included in the collection.
